No one ever really reads this blog, and that is ok I am going to use it to vent.
Looking back at my last post, it was January and I was having a "ruff day" off it. The year really ended up being a very exciting and good year. Over all, my energy level was better and I worked out for 3 months straight before I went to Nationals. Then fall/winter hit and I feel pretty much like I did that last post .... tired all the time, hardly can drive to work.
Work is crazy busy and I really have to suck it up and get in there to get things done. In a way, that is a lot better for me.
So, I am sitting here on the couch, late in this year and back into my bad season. Hips hurt so bad I could cry. I have had a productive morning so far, in which I posted on FB cheerfully how much I got done, when really I am just dying inside with excruciating pain.
Mentally this year, I have been struggling with the ups and downs of pain and energy. No one (unless they live with chronic pain) has any idea what it can do to you.  I feel hopeless and have no control.
I am trying to do the right things - taking vitamins, taking my meds on time, doing a little exercise.
But right now I am just tired of putting on the Happy Face. I would like to just be a Bi---tch... I wish my attitude and demeanor could represent how I feel. Of course no one in the right mind would want to be around me. So Happy Face it is.
I have agility that is keeping me busy and preoccupied, I have to go tomorrow and I am just praying I wake up feeling better than I did today.
For my once in a blue moon post - this is it..
Signing off.

Ruff Day

Today has not been one the best of my days... I should have known when I almost fell asleep on my way TO work and it's only a 7 mile drive!
Been sleepy all day, not feeling too great - but have made my list of "To-Do's" for when I get home.

This is one of my new years resolutions... If I don't have a plan of any kind, I tend to just sit and do nuttin'...
So I am at the end of my day, thinking "How in the world am I going to have any energy to even drive home.
I am not going to be too hard on myself... just get a few things done and rest so maybe I will feel a little better tomorrow.
My priority is to do some work outside with Hemi... really working this "NO BARKING Zone" -- Trying to keep her from Sassing me so much when we play in the backyard.
That long with trying to get ready for class tomorrow night...
I'm so exhausted.

Signing off for today....

Last year resolutions I posted and so much more!

What I posted and what I did and didn't accomplish! It was QUITE the year!
January -
lose 5 lbs.
workout 2 times per week
I can't say I did the above in Jan... but last year I did lose 13lbs (and still working on that)
get dogwalk built
YES!
Peanut/Oreo agility classes
Biggest change - Started Peanut in herding instead of agility... Oreo continues classes, but I officially retired him from doing trials... he just won't perform due to stress!
Hemi - Obedience Clicker class starts Jan 11th
I didn't do this last year, but I did do Susan Garrett's 5 minutes to a brilliant recall... it was a good webinar!

February -
get A-Frame built
This didn't happen, I don't know that I have the room for an A-frame too. The dogwalk took up a little more space than I thought it would.
Practice in backyard 2-3 times week
I have been pretty consistent about this until the weather got cold. I am going to start bundling up and do it anyways! I think this is the only reason the Hemi has such awesome weave poles, we practiced, practiced, practiced!
Hemi/Oreo - Greg Derrett Seminar Feb 21st-23rd
Yes~ it was fabulous.... I wish he was coming back this year so I could put Hemi in a boxwork seminar!
UNT Orca conference with Bob Bailey (Like a mini-clicker seminar - 1 day)
No! It was around the same time as the GD seminar and it was just too much. I was really disappointed to miss it, but I am going back this year. If anyone in this area wants to learn about positive training.. there are some AMAZING trainers that participate in this. Worth EVERY penny!

March -
get Teeter built
Yes!

April -
get lights in backyard
Yes! I kind of rigged some lights so I can practice even though it is dark out by the time I get home.

May -
Hemi - Begins Foundation Agility classes !! YaY!
Yes!
Besides all that... I have had a wonderful year.
I got to go to Germany to see my daughter, we also took a trip to Paris! Amazing, I never thought I would really go!
My niece went with me to Germany/Paris and it was so awesome to get to know her and build a friendship with her!
I have been doing herding with Peanut, enjoying that and getting to know that group of people!
I started a different position at work!  I hated being a manager and I am so happy to be back in the technical world. The group of guys I work with now are great, building new friendships with them and enjoying work so so much more.
I have made so many new friends this year, Hemi is doing so well in agility and I am enjoying trialing for once...
It has been a good year... and looking forward to new adventures this coming year... including a 3 day Agility Trial over New Year's weekend!

Less than 30 days...

Some major changes are happening in my work life, which is going to greatly improve my personal life. I am looking forward to the change.
I look back at my clock and see what time I have lost!
Hemi is getting pretty good at her stays, we started obedience class last week and it was a blast.  Our instructor Nancy Strack is so awesome - she does a great job!
I need to look at my list of things I wanted to do in Januray and revisit Feb.  I won't get my dog walk done, but I am ok with that.
I have been doing some training with Hemi, but not to the extent I would like. I am hoping the changes at work are going to help me have more energy when I get home.
Today I have instructors class at PAWs... looking forward to seeing my friends, but not sitting out in the cold.
Change is in the air.....

Greg Derrett Pic's ___ Nov. 22- 24

Greg Derrett seminar location was wonderful. Little on the chilly side, but it was so much fun!
